FAQS AND COVID INFO

WHAT COVID PRECAUTIONS ARE BEING TAKEN?

Your health and well being during your session is my primary concern. Therefore the following procedures have been implemented:
-You are welcome to wear a mask during your appointment, but it is not required. I am also happy to wear a N95 during your appointment- just let me know.

-30 minutes between every appointment to allow for proper cleaning.
-Air purification unit in the treatment room.
-Thorough sanitizing of the treatment room between each session.
-All linens, towels, and pillowcases changed and sanitized after every appointment.
If you have questions about any of these procedures or are high risk, please don't hesitate to reach out before making an appointment.

I WAS EXPOSED TO COVID-19. CAN I GET A MASSAGE?

If you have been exposed, you must wait 5 days, be symptom free and test negative before coming in.

If you currently have Covid you must wait 10 days from the start of your symptoms and be symptom free. Due to the close contact nature of a massage session this will be strictly enforced.

DO YOU HELP TREAT TERMINAL OR CHRONIC ILLNESS?

Massage is not used to treat or diagnose any illness or disease.  It can provide relief for musculoskeletal pain, support circulation and lymphatic movement, and alleviate stress.  If you are suffering from a severe illness, particularly cancer or MS, please contact me prior to making an appointment so we can determine is massage would be safe and beneficial.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?

If this is your first massage, feel free to contact me with any specific questions.  In general to support the most therapeutic experience you want to schedule your massage on a "rest day", be it from training or life in general.  You also want to hydrate and shower prior to your appointment.  You do not need to wear special clothes as you will be properly draped with a sheet and blanket during the treatment.

HOW SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY MASSAGES AROUND MY TRAINING?

It is safe to schedule a massage both before and after a competition- techniques will be tailored to your needs.  If you are scheduling a maintenance massage, chose a recovery day- you do not want to get a massage and immediately do a hard workout afterward.
